Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience started at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd was trained in BJJ, kickboxing boxing and wrestling before making her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd was able to win three fights in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated had been defeated in the first few minutes. In WCFC, Ladd defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia dominated Aspen to beat her a unanimous vote, leaving the mark of a loss on Aspen's record in her amateur. Ladd bounced back from defeat with a win over Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. InvictaFC 11 was her first professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to move from Bantamweight to the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used superior wrestling to take down McGill in third round TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as the weight of a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd did not make an appearance at the. Aspen, however, dominated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last fight for promotion. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks was a unanimous winner. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, against Lina Langsberg. She dominated Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round at the end of the 2nd. She remained dominant, and won another big win over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. She also received an extra bonus for her performance that night. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee She fought Sijara Eubanks for her first significant fight. Both fighters put up a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters receiving an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's third round, lost to Randamie. As a last-minute replacement to her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was unanimously decided in her favor.
